Two Girls

As women, as humans, I have come to realize that we all need a change of scenery from time to time. A renewing of your viewpoint, literally and physically is so good for your soul. Sometimes our eyes need new surroundings and faces in its viewpoint to gain inspiration and to reset our perspective. Maybe it's even going back to the place you wished to leave for so long.

Small issues can turn into monsters when we stare at the same four walls everyday #momlife, but oh what one day out can do. If you are experiencing any form of burnout, maybe it is time for you to plan you a day of new places and new faces. I give you permission to add it to your calendar now.

Poem by Jessica A. Goolsby

As the girl in the city fell apart,

So did the girl in the woods.

In the midst of the city life she felt dead.

Surrounded by the sky the other looked down.

As the girl in the city cried alone,

So did the girl in the woods.

The city lights continued to shine

but she felt dark.

As the shooting stars fell so did the other's tears.

As the girl in the city ventured to the woods,

The girl in the woods ventured to the city.

She needed a new perspective.

The other wanted new views.

As the girl from the city felt inspired,

So did the girl from the woods.

Her heart began to beat again

with the light of the moon.

The city lights ignited the soul of the other.

As the girl from the city felt alive,

So did the girl from the woods.

I’m on my way, driving at 90 down those country lanes..

Singing to Tiny Dancer,

And I miss the way you make me feel, it’s real

When we watched the sunset over the castle on the hill...
